The Difference Between the World and Me

John 3:16 is probably the most used verse in evangelism. It emphasizes God's love for the world and the eternal life He offers to each person on this globe.

It is important that we understand that God loves the whole world. It is an amazing truth. It is not just a New Testament truth, but it is an eternal truth. It does not matter what the country, color, culture, or language of the people are. He loves every people group in the world.

It is easy for us to quote John 3:16 and think about the great love of God for the world that sent His Son to die on the Cross of Calvary. The danger in thinking about how much God loves the world is that it is possible to never get to the place of understanding that "God loves me."

You may not have ever come to that place of understanding that God loves you. Have you ever realized and understood in your heart, "God loves me!" It does not matter who you are, what you have done. It does not matter if you seem to be good or bad. It does not matter if you have walked your way through life ignoring God or talking about a God who loves the world.

The whosoever of John 3:16 provides the setting for you to put your name in that verse and trust in Christ who loves you because you are in this world. You don't have to have any qualifications. You just have to understand that God loves you and that is why He sent His Son to die for you. This would be a great day to turn your heart and eyes to heaven and thank God for sending His Son for you.

This is a world that is starving for real love. God is the resource for real love because the Bible tells us that God is love. In His love He sent Jesus for you. Don't focus on the negatives down here. The God of love loves you and wants you for His child. Trust Him today. That is what salvation is all about. He wants to cleanse your heart and life and bring new life to it through Christ. Jesus loves the world. The amazing part of that love is that Jesus loves you and wants to bring you new life when you trust in His sacrifice for you.
